The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), in coordination with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), issued the proposed Memorandum Circular (MC) for the Rules and Regulations on the Selection of the New Major Player (NMP) in the Public Telecommunications Market.

This comes after the decision to use the Highest Committed Level of Service (HCLOS) as a mode for the selection process, as supported by the inputs from three stakeholder consultations and as finally agreed during the 20 July Oversight Committee Meeting.

As part of the formal legal procedure, the Public Hearing for the MC for the Rules and Regulations on the Selection of the NMP shall take place on 23 August 2018 at the Novotel Manila, Araneta Center, Gen. Aguinaldo Avenue, Quezon City.
