The DOST-ICTO BAC4iGOV issues this supplemental bid bulletin to further clarify, modify, and amend, delete and/or adapt the provisions of the bidding documents for the procurement of:

These modifications and clarifications are hereby issued for the benefit of all bidders:

  1. For clarifications under Section VII. Technical Specifications,
QUERIESAMENDMENTS / CHANGES/ CLARIFICATIONS
1.2.1. Maximum 12 rack-unit- we would like to clarify if a 14-rack will comply providing more slots as compared to the 12 slotter chassyDue to limited space on the racks we cannot allow a single chassis to go beyond 12 rack units.
1.2.6 Must support up to 192 wire-speed 40BASE-X ports module – considering the bulk of your requirement on the 10G Fabric, 192 slots is considered disproportionate and could not be fully utilize. As such, we would like to clarify if the minimum requirement be lower down to 120 wire speed to accommodate other reliable brand?Yes. The maximum requirement is up to 192 wire-speed 40BASE-X ports module
1.2.5 Provide sFlow or Netflow – Subject management protocol is ____ proprietary or limited to a specific brand, we would like to clarify if an equivalent management protocol particularly the IP Flow Manager will suffice considering its inter-operability with other platform.For 1.4.24 Provide sFlow or Netflow: Sflow is an open standard dictated by -https://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc3176.txt The suggested feature is a proprietary that may not work with existing monitoring system that only accepts sFlow or Netflow.
2.2.2.2. Four (4) 1GE SFP – We would like to clarify if this is a combo port.For 2.3.3.3. Four (4) 1GE SFP: Combo port is not required, but if bidding for an equipment with a combo port, take note that the four 10GE SFP is separate port, i.e. four 10GE port + four combo port.

Note: As defined by the bidder per email dated 29 May 2015 that “Combo port is SFP+ port same port that can accommodate 1GE SFP & 10GE SFP+”
2.4.1. Minimum Throughput in packets per seconds (pps): 220 Million - We would like to clarify it subject could be lower down to a minimum of 150 Mpbs?Yes. Bidders can offer a Minimum Throughput in packets per seconds (pps):: 150 Million.
2.4.2 Minimum Throughput in bps: 296 Gpbs – We would like to clarify if this could be lower down to a minimum 200 Gpbs?Yes. Bidders can offer a Minimum Throughput in bps: 200 Gbps.
2.6.14. IEE 8021Q-n-Q: VLAN stacking – Subject feature is brand specific. We would like to clarify if the equivalent MAC to MAC, or the IEEEE 802.1ah providing backbone bridging standard complies this specific requirement.802.1Q-n-Q is an informal name for 802.1ad which is an open standard. 802.1ad (PBB) will be accepted.
3.5.14 IEEE 802.Q-n-Q VLAN Stacking – said protocol terminology is being used by a specific brand, we would like to clarify if equivalent protocol with different terminology but having same functionality will suffice802.1Q-n-Q is an informal name for 802.1ad which is an open standard. 802.1ad (PBB) will be accepted.

1. Single line diagram for our BOM ReferenceThis is not necessary. The equipment is for supply and delivery only.

Note: As clarified by the bidder per email dated 29 May 2015 that “Single Line Diagram refers to the Technical Design.”
2. Soft copies of the bidding documents (particularly the bid forms from pages 91 to 129) for our bid preparation use.
