This is with regard to the requests of Foreign Nationals (“FNs”) for endorsement to the Department of Foreign  Affairs (“DFA”) for Travel Ban Exemptions (“TBE”) to the Philippines.  

On 25 May 2021 and 09 June 2021 respectively, the Department of Information and Communications Technology  (“DICT”) released the following Advisories: 

(i) Advisory No. 2021 – 09, “Temporary Suspension on the Processing of Requests of Foreign Nationals  with Travel History from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Oman, and the United Arab  Emirates for Endorsement to the Department of Foreign Affairs for Travel Ban Exemptions to the  Philippines,” wherein the Department indicated that it shall be suspending the processing of requests  of FNs for endorsement to the DFA for TBE to the Philippines from 15 May 2021 until 31 May 2021  in line with the Memorandum from Executive Secretary Salvador C. Medialdea dated 14 May 2021  regarding the Imposition of Travel Restrictions on Travelers from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka,  Bangladesh, Oman and the United Arab Emirates to Prevent the Entry of the SARS-COV-2 B.1.617  Variant First Detected in India; and  

(ii) Advisory No. 2021 – 11, “Extension of the Temporary Suspension on the Processing of Requests of  Foreign Nationals with Travel History from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Oman, and  the United Arab Emirates for Endorsement to the Department of Foreign Affairs for Travel Ban  Exemptions to the Philippines,” wherein the DICT extended until 15 June 2021 the temporary  suspension on the processing of requests for endorsement to the DFA for TBE to the country of FNs  coming from or who have been to the seven (7) travel restricted countries in compliance with the  Memorandum from Executive Secretary Medialdea dated 31 May 2021 on the Extension of the  Imposition of Travel Restrictions on Travelers from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh,  Oman, and the United Arab Emirates to Prevent the Entry of the SARS-COV-2 B.1.617 Variant First  Detected in India, which extended the temporary travel ban on all passengers or travelers with travel  history from the seven (7) aforementioned countries until 15 June 2021 

Now, pursuant to the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (“IATF MEID”) Resolution No. 121 dated 14 June 2021, which extended until 30 June 2021 the temporary travel  restrictions imposed on all those coming from or have been to the seven (7) above-stated countries, and the Bureau  of Immigration Advisory dated 15 June 2021 on the Revised Guidelines Per IATF-MEID Resolution No. 121,  series of 2021, which provided for the same, please be advised that the temporary suspension on the  processing of requests for endorsement to the DFA for TBE to the Philippines of FNs coming from or  who have been to India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates  is also extended until 30 June 2021.
