This is with regard to the requests of Foreign Nationals (“FNs”) for endorsement to the Department of Foreign Affairs (“DFA”) for Travel Ban Exemptions (“TBE”) to the Philippines.
On 21 June 2021, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (“DICT”) released Advisory No. 2021 – 13, “Second Extension of the Temporary Suspension on the Processing of Requests of Foreign Nationals with Travel History from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates for Endorsement to the Department of Foreign Affairs for Travel Ban Exemptions to the Philippines,”
wherein the Department extended until 30 June 2021 the temporary suspension on the processing of requests for endorsement to the DFA for TBE to the country of FNs coming from or who have been to the aforementioned seven (7) travel restricted countries in compliance with the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (“IATF-MEID”) Resolution No. 121 dated 14 June 2021 and the Bureau of Immigration (“BI”) Advisory dated 15 June 2021 on the Revised Guidelines Per IATF-MEID Resolution No. 121, series of 2021. Both issuances stipulated that the temporary travel ban on all passengers or travelers with travel history from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates was extended until 30 June 2021.
Now, pursuant to the IATF-MEID Resolution No. 123 dated 28 June 2021, which extended until 15 July 2021 the temporary travel restrictions imposed on all those coming from or who have been to the seven (7) above-stated countries, and the Bureau of Immigration Advisory on the Revised Guidelines Per IATF-MEID Resolution No. 123, series of 2021, which provided for the same, please be advised that the temporary suspension on the processing of requests for endorsement to the DFA for TBE to the Philippines of FNs coming from or who have been to India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates is also extended until 15 July 2021.
