This is with regard to the requests of Foreign Nationals (“FNs”) for endorsement to the Department of Foreign Affairs (“DFA”) for Travel Ban Exemptions (“TBE”) to the Philippines.
The Department of Information and Communications Technology (“DICT”) refers to the following Advisories:
(i) Advisory No. 2021 – 16, “Fourth Extension of the Temporary Suspension on the Processing of Requests of Foreign Nationals with Travel History from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates for Endorsement to the Department of Foreign Affairs for Travel Ban Exemptions to the Philippines,” wherein the Department extended until 31 July 2021 the temporary suspension on the processing of requests for endorsement to the DFA for TBE to the country of FNs coming from or who have been to the aforementioned seven (7) travel restricted countries in compliance with the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (“IATF-MEID”) Resolution No. 126 dated 13 July 2021 and the Bureau of Immigration (“BI”) Advisory on the Revised Quarantine Guidelines Per IATF-MEID Resolution No. 126, series of 2021 and Memorandum from Executive Secretary dated 14 July 2021. Both issuances stipulated that the temporary travel ban on all passengers or travelers with travel history from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates was extended until 31 July 2021;
(ii) Advisory No. 2021 – 17, “Temporary Suspension on the Processing of Requests of Foreign Nationals with Travel History from Indonesia for Endorsement to the Department of Foreign Affairs for Travel Ban Exemptions to the Philippines,” wherein the Department temporarily suspended from 16 July 2021 to 31 July 2021 the processing of requests for endorsement to the DFA for TBE to the Philippines of FNs who have travel history from Indonesia in accordance with the Memorandum from Executive Secretary Salvador C. Medialdea dated 14 July 2021 regarding the Imposition of Travel Restrictions on Travelers from Indonesia; and
(iii) Advisory No. 2021 – 18, “Temporary Suspension on the Processing of Requests of Foreign Nationals with Travel History from Malaysia and Thailand for Endorsement to the Department of Foreign Affairs for Travel Ban Exemptions to the Philippines,” wherein the Department temporarily suspended from 25 July 2021 to 31 July 2021 the processing of requests for endorsement to the DFA for TBE to the country of FNs who will be coming from or have been to Malaysia and Thailand in line with the Memorandum from Executive Secretary Medialdea dated 23 July 2021 regarding the Imposition of Travel Restrictions on Travelers from Malaysia and Thailand.
Now, pursuant to the IATF-MEID Resolution No. 130 dated 29 July 2021, which extended until 15 August 2021 the temporary travel restrictions imposed on all those coming from or who have been to the ten (10) above-stated countries, please be advised that the temporary suspension on the processing of requests for endorsement to the DFA for TBE to the Philippines of FNs with travel history from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand is also extended until 15 August 2021.
