The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), represented by Acting Secretary Emmanuel Rey R. Caintic, received the Snowflake “Data for Good” Award 2021 on April 21, 2022 at Shangri-La, The Fort, Manila. The Department was commended for the successful rollout of its VaxCert PH program.

Caintic shared how the DICT collaborated with Snowflake and Intellection to implement the government’s mass vaccination program using data cloud and analytics.

“I’m all for democratizing the use of analytics. Each department should have a good appreciation of what analytics they need. I believe that the Department Heads should appreciate and go towards data-driven decision-making that analytics can provide,” DICT Secretary Caintic said in the event.
