In its mission to improve cybersecurity in the country, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) linked up with Russian company BiZone Limited Liability Company (BiZone LLC) for closer cooperation on cybersecurity concerns.
DICT Acting Secretary Eliseo Rio Jr. and BiZone LLC CEO Dmitry Samartsev signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Monday, 24 September, wherein the parties agreed to cooperate on mutual response to cybersecurity incidents and information-exchange on cybersecurity threats, policies and technologies.
Among the agreed implementation strategy is to conduct joint research and development on cybersecurity technologies to cyber threats.
“This is the first step to a more advance partnership [on cybersecurity],” said DICT Acting Secretary Eliseo M. Rio Jr.
His Excellency Igor Analotyevich Khovaev of the Embassy of the Russian Federation witnessed the ceremonial signing alongside Assistant Secretary for Cybersecurity and Enabling Technologies Allan Cabanlong.
