Earth Hour 2015 Earth Hour is  a worldwide event organized by the World Wide Fund (WWF) that encourages individuals, households, and businesses to turn off any non-essential lights on their respective housings and establishments from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on the last Saturday of March as a symbol of their commitment to help the earth and lessen mankind’s carbon footprint.

The Philippines has been one of Earth Hour’s most fervent supporters since 2009, having over 1600 cities, towns, and villages that voluntarily participate in the hour-long lights out event.
