21 June 2019 — With the growing demand for digitization in the current global landscape, the National Information and Communications Technology Summit 2019 is set to discuss the government’s recent efforts in leveling up the country’s digital transformation on 25-26 June 2019.

With around 500 government executives, ICT managers and practitioners, local government officials, and academe members expected to participate, the NICT Summit 2019 with the theme “Accelerating Government’s Digital Transformation” will be the biggest gathering of Philippine government movers in the field of ICT.

The event will also tackle local challenges of government data integrity and reliability for mobile services involving payments, civil registries, education, elections, passports, and other frontline services.

The culminating event of the National ICT Month celebration will be held at Novotel Manila, Quezon City after a successful run last year in Davao City with President Rodrigo Duterte as guest-of-honor.

This year’s plenary sessions will feature topics such as data-driven social services and emerging technologies while parallel tracks will engage conversations on digitization in government, and local government unit digital transformation, among others with industry partners. In cooperation with the Chief Information Officers’ Forum, Inc. (CIOF) and the CIOF Foundation, Inc. (CIOFF), the two-day Summit is spearheaded by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
