NATURE AND FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

The Planning Officer V under the International Cooperation Division shall be the focal point person for International Cooperation Initiatives of the Department to maintain DICT International Linkages and Partnerships. He/she is tasked to review and endorse/recommend for approval policies and/or amendments in relation to International Commitments (protocols, agreements (bilateral, multilateral, free trade), MOAs and MOUs, as well as develop monitoring mechanism on the status and accomplishments of all the International commitments/cooperation of the Department.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Ensure that all international correspondence received by the Department has been acted upon;
  2. Act as point of contact for all international organizations under UN, APEC, ASEAN and other organizations with regard to ICT;
  3. Identify and recommend suitable candidates/participants in meetings/seminars according to each international organization’s criteria;
  4. Ensure that the division is well represented in meetings/seminars organized by various ICT related international organizations;
  5. Provide overall direction in the review of all international commitments by ensuring that Philippine position papers, reports, and recommendations of the Philippine Government in relation to the issues, concerns, and agreements raised during the International Organizations meetings are in accordance with each international organizations standard;
  6. Ensure that new/revised policies were communicated to all stakeholders through focus group discussions, among others, prior to their issuance; and
  7. Lead and manage the development of monitoring mechanism on the status and accomplishments of all the International commitments/cooperation of the Department.

  4. Transcript of Records;
  5. Certificate of eligibility/board exam result, if applicable;
  6. Certificates of relevant training, seminars and awards/recognitions, if any;
  7. Performance rating during the last rating period, if applicable;
  8. Certificate of previous employment, if applicable;
  9. Certification of no pending administrative charge; and
  10. NBI clearance.
