ENGAGEMENT OF TRAINING SERVICES FOR THE CONDUCT OF CERTIFIED ETHICAL HACKER TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION EXAM

1 Section I. Invitation to Bid

 

4. A prospective Bidder should have completed within the three (3) years from the date of submission and receipt of bids at least one (1) single contract of similar nature amounting to at least fifty percent (50%) of the ABC.

 

For this project, “similar in nature” shall mean “Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Training and Certification Program

 

Request/Proposal: Requesting to change definition of “similar in nature” to “related Security Assessment Training and Certification Program involving Ethical Hacking Methodologies”.

 

Reason: This is the first time that our government is willing to invest in having a bulk batch of CEH Certification and Training.

 

The type of clients who typically request for CEH training is either an individual who wanted to be certified, or a company requesting a training for 2-3 pax as part of their IT Security staff’s development.

Definition of Similar in Nature is changed to “Security Assessment Training and Certification Program involving Ethical Hacking Methodologies”.
2 Section VII. Technical Specifications

 

6. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

6.3. Must have a minimum of 1 Certified EC-Council Instructor who has at least 2 years of professional experience in conducting CEH training.

 

Request/Proposal: Must have a minimum of 1 Certified EC-Council Instructor who has at least 5 years of professional experience in conducting CEH training.

 

Reason: Considering that this is a national level requirement, we recommend to revise the years of professional experience in conducting CEH training to at least 5 years to ensure high quality of training.

Please refer to the table below for the changes in the bidding documents.
3 Additional Proposed Qualification Requirements

 

Request/Proposal: The Instructor must be a Filipino Citizen and fluent in both English and Filipino Vernacular.

 

Reason: Comfortable training experience and better trainer interaction.

Request is not granted.
4 Section VII. Technical Specifications

 

9. SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENT

 

Upon failure of the certification exam, the trainee/trainees are entitled to a refresher course, and a re-take of the certification exam, at no additional cost to DICT

 

Request/Proposal: Upon failure of the certification exam, the trainee/trainees are entitled to a refresher course, and (1) re-take of the certification exam per trainee, at no additional cost to DICT

 

Reason: Specific exam re-take limitation

After considering the queries, clarifications, recommendations and suggestions, the BAC4G&S hereby decides to include, revise, amend, delete and/or adapt the following provisions:
